Recently my family decided to foster a black lab. puppy for the Autism Service Dogs. He is a wonderful dog and we are having the best time with him, beginning to slowly train him to take care of a child like Joshua. I hope it won't be long before Joshua has one of these wonderful dogs in his life to call his own, I'm sure it will transform his day to day life. I have now seen first hand what a great job the Autism Service Dogs are doing and how they will change many lives for the good. I sincerely wish you and Joshua well and hope many people will feel the urge to donate and help Joshua get a dog of his own.
May Our Heavenly Father Bless you all in your life together, he has blessed you with a very special child.

Hello, my name is Katie Severs and I am a Manager for Smash Marketing.   My boss, Nyden Kovatchev and I were touched by Joshaua's story and are in the business of fundraising.   We are currently affiliated with the Fix Our World Foundation but we would love to be in contact with you to potentially work out some fundraising for Joshua's guide dog.   My email is katherine.severs@gmail.com, I would love to hear from you to learn more about how we can help your situation.   Thank you for this beautiful website, it is nice to see the internet being used for the dissemination of positivity and awareness.

Amazing to read about Joshua and the whole family.   We are a family of 6, living in central London.   We are church ministers and have a church here.   Our youngest daughter,Grace,   who is 6 years old has Kabuki syndrome.   Reading about Joshua is like a mirrow image of Grace. She has a majority of the same conditions.   Someone once said to me 'If you serve a God of love how can He let this happen.   I replied I do not know, but without His help I wouldn't come through. God is always faithful! He has given us wonderful gifts in our children.   Much love Jackyx

Hello Joshua, and family just wanted to send you all my love and best wishes. I know what its like to have a life threatening illness, I came through "Guillian Barre Syndrome",and although it has left me seriously physically disabled, I am thankfull for everyday I am here to see my family, and friends and to see my grandson grow up. The only advice I can give you is, keep fighting, and enjoy EVERY day.
Lots of Love Angela.

I have learned about Joshua while reading an article in the Burlington Post written by Jason Misner.   What an exceptional boy you have.   I had never heard of KS before.   I have made a contribution to help with the therapeutic dog.   I so hope that one day soon your family will reach this goal. I am so moved by your story & am glad that I got to read about Joshua and that I got to learn about this condition.   What a special journey your family is on.   Sarah

Hello Joshua,
God gave us all obstacles to overcome in life,
but he wouldn't have given you this obstacle if he didn't know you could overcome it...
he made you a strong boy Joshua,
and you have support and love to help you along the way.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers everyday.
God Bless!

With much love,

Hi!   My son Benjamin was diagnosed with Kabuki about 2 weeks ago.   We finally know after about nine years of testing.   I am thankful to our new geneticist for the diagnosis we waited so long for.   Nothing has changed, Ben is still the child of my heart.   But now we know...

The journey is long.   The burden is light.   The joy is great.

Thank you for this website. Last week We were told that our beautiful son has Kabuki Syndrome. He is 4 with the world at his feet. Even though in reality we have been dealing with the effects of KS more than 4 years, We now have a name for it and I am laying my hands on any information I can.
that's how I came across your site.

We will be fine, I know it like I know the sun will rise in the morning.

Thank you for being inspirational and Courageous.
I hope you and your family's journey becomes ever more easy and happiness found in every single day.

May God always be looking over the little children and their parents. You are amazing for all that you do with/for Joshua. I caught this site because of Ronald McDonald house. I have never had to use it, but my relatives have. I started a program with my school: collecting tabs for Ronald McD's house. We collected 87 lbs in one month. That is almost one night stay. Get your local schools involved to help people like Sophie and Joshua. Parents need to be able to focus on the child not where they are laying their head and next meal. Sophie you have amazing strength and a talented artist.

Moment like you've endured in your lifetime with your son are moments that many would give up. They'd be left feeling useless and would inturn not want to fight for what's best. They'd pass that responsibility on to someone else, such as, homes for children with needs. I have to say, you're doing a terrific job with your son and you sharing your story I'm sure is going to help many others. Maybe not in every situation you've endured, but even if only one situation is learned from then you've also done a great job with this site. Thank you for sharing this with me and many others who have and will in the future read this. Keep up the GREAT work!!

Best of Luck for your future experiences!!

When my nepnew was diagnosed with kabuki syndrome 6 months ago, I watched the video with my sister; that is with his mother, we both cried, and still every time I watch it I cry. I know what kind of a feeling it is from my sister, hard times to the mother and the father. I loved your little lovely boy,so sweet. I am from Turkey, so sorry for my grammar or other mistakes:) I only wanted to write to you. God bless you and your son.

Sophie, thank you so much for sharing this with me. I read Joshua's whole page and am so impressed with how far he (and you!) has come already and how many challenges have been met.

Both of your children are so beautiful and you are so very blessed to have them in your life. I'll be sure to check back to the site, but I hope we'll be able to stay in touch also.
